I am of the opinion that this website is in desperate need of attention in the area of graphics & related coding. It looks father Generic, and I believe that the more attractive it looks, the more people will join. Also, cleanliness breeds efficiency. It does not look professional. In my expierence, generic-ness is never a good thing. But, then again, you guys aren't a coding/gfx site, so...

I realize that you guys are just starting out, so I won't be too critical.

Well there are some who want this to be booming, but this site doesn't NEED to be all fancy. We are just a bg group of friends like like to chill. I mean later on, depending on how many people join, it can turn into something big but, right now its just a small community dude.

But yeah, I wanted to use Aariel as my scapegoat. You guys don't really need to do much yet. I posted on her freewebs without knowing it was a freewebs, with pretty much exactly the same message. She was talking about how you guys knew your stuff, because I happen to know that PHPbb is easy to hack, and hard to manage without an extensive knowledge of php, but one of my personal main concerns was the layout and gfx. We artists tend to be very picky. I happen to hate default, custom is always welcome. But, again, sorry to bother you guys with something you needn't worry about.

As for your criticism for the sight, I agree somewhat. Its true the site needs better graphics but for right now this will do just fine. Old NA hasnt even shut down yet. We just decided to start 2.0 a little bit before it shuts down just to be safe. Maybe after old NA shuts down well start thinking about improving 2.0. As ive said before its best to see how things play out first. If you have knowledge in graphics then wed appreciate all the help you can give us when we decide to start improving the site.

Ouch. Sorry to mini-mod, I'm just so used to being admin/assist admin of whatever site I go to. I would hope that I can be playful, as I was with Aariel, but I'll keep it in mind that it's your job to enforce rules and decide how strictly they should be kept. I have a bit of experienced in coding/gfx and consider myself skilled at CSS, and a master of invisionfree boards. Hope I can be of some help, and since you're active, I won't feel like once I'm helping I'll need to usurp responsibilities.

I was the one who started most of these, just to see it start up ya know? Not trying to take all the credit tho...just aboit 99.99999999999% of it LMAO J/K But yea like I said before, when it gets off the ground after the old one shuts down, we could use someone of your expertise to spice things up a bit! Why not post some previews or something and give some ideas to everyone. Have everyone vote or something.

Okay... What kind of stuff do you guys want on here? As for the skin, I will need to know a few things like color scheme and/or specific pictures or features you want it to have. There is also the question of hacks or add-ons. One of the greatest phpBB add-ons ever made is the GAIA Online avatar system, which I have yet to hack the source code of...

Well, before I say anything else, thank you for offering to help us in the area that we all know the least about.

Onto the topic at hand, we're going to keep it in the rather generic style for a while, at least until NA shuts down, then we can discuss exactly what we want from this board and figure out a layout that works out well for everyone. As Spawn said, later on it might be a good idea for you to post samples of what you could do and we could all take a vote on the color scheme and images we want to use throughout our little hangout here. I am certain of one thing though; the GAIA Online Avatar system won't be implemented here. But yeah, thanks again for the help you're offering.

I second that completely. Its of no use to us here, at least right now it isnt.

Oh hell naw. I third that, so its unanimous lol. I mean its ok, but kinda wierd and it gets boring, from all that trying to get clothes. So you post reluctantly just to obtain gold...Nah, no good. But yea, lets just wait. After we bury NA, and officially resurrect it here, THEN we can make moves. But even still, I'd rather wait until we have a good amount of members/friends/NA family

I do a wide range of things, if you could slim it down I will see what I can do for you. But, as you said, that's for later. I rather like smaller communities, they stay alive longer. Please excuse me for being a perfectionist.

Oh, don't worry about being a perfectionist. And I agree about small communities. They do stay alive longer. So I'm hoping this one will grow a little bit, get a few good members, weed out any bad ones we get, and then it'll be perfect for me.

But now that I think about it, if you could give me a little more detail about the Gaia Online Avatar system, I think we could find a way to implement it without getting everyone to spam for gold. =D But we can discuss this later.
