freehand, but i cant draw without a picture or something that moves. soooooooooooooooooo i had to get a picture from photobucket...... :mrgreen:

Yea I couldn't do it without a pic at first either, but I got better with it

I had the same problem and I still reference pictures when I dont have any good ideas. Theres nothing wrong with referencing a picture. You just have to keep in mind not to make it look alot like the character your copying, unless thats what you meant to do of course.

No I didnt mean that what you did was wrong. What I said was if you were just copying the picture then thats fine if thats what you planned. You looks really great though. fantastic shading.

Well yea when I look at a pic I copy it always. I never really referenced a pic because, I'd just base my freestyle art off of styles. Like for instance, I'd based some of my characters off of Akira Toriyama's style and make them look Dragon Quest-ish or DBZ-ish
