what ipod to choose?

Okay, so i'm getting an ipod soon, and i have enough for a touch, but i'm not so sure i want a touch.

I'm thinking about getting a nano 2 but i'm not sure. Should i go ahead and go for the most expensive? And if not either of the two, then which do you believe is the best ipod for the best price right now?

I'm looking for something that can hold at least 800 songs, few videos, or both.

Well if you buy the 16gb Touch like I did you have plenty of enough room for a few two hour long movies and about a 2000 songs or such. The Touch can also access the internet if you have wireless our you go to a place that has hotspots and has a nifty functions for Youtube. Also if you wanna pay around 600$ you can buy the very new 32gb ipod touch. We'll the Nano may or may not have video but if it does itll be an extremely small screen and im sure you dont want that. If you dont feel like spending alot of money on an mp3 just a Zune. There cheaper, a bit bigger but they have much more space. The most expensive Zune has around 80gb.

lol i'm such a tightwad i just bought the 8 mg. 2000 songs seems like enough, the screen's too small for me to enjoy any videos with my eyesight.

I'm happy. lol BUT the first i got didn't work so i had to return it and get another. just my luck.

I'm probably going to pick up an 8 gig sometime later this week, since I'm too poor to get any of the others, though I have to order it online. But that's cool, since I get a custom engraving for free. Now... what should it say?

All I want is headphones? XD No seriously, I have NO headphones at all, working or otherwise. >.< Baka-nee-teme =.= I haven't been able to listen to music at school at all for nearly a week and a half! T.T

Don't get an iPod. Seriously it's a piece of crap. They break like crazy, because one it cost's less than $20 to make one and they sell the junk for $200+. Grab a Zune and call it a day.

I have an iTouch, and I haven't had any problems with it. I had an iPod nano before, and it would sometimes freeze up and I'd have to wait until the end of the day before the battery died, just so I could recharge again and reset things. I've never used a Zune before, but my friends have said it works real good and I've yet to hear a complaint about them. I wanted to get one, but when I bought my laptop, Apple had this special about a free iPod or iTouch when you buy a Macbook. (you actually have to pay for it and get the rebate online, but it was still free in the end for me.)

Zune is good but it doesnt have the app function or online capabilities like the iTouch has.
