Recently IGN has released what they say is a trailer for the long awaited live-action movie adaption of the hit gaming franchise Legend of Zelda. The strange thing about this is that it was released on April Fool's Day. You decide if its a prank or not.

I personally think its a sick April Fool's joke though I hope im wrong.

I pray to god it's just an April fools joke, which I think it is. But I'd probably go on some killing spree if it wasn't. It just doesn't look good to me. Personally, I don't think any actor or team of actors could properly capture the feeling of the game.

Yea it is. I mean think about it. its a YEAR LONG April fools joke. April 1st of next year isn't even a friday, its a wednesday. Most movies come out on Fridays. But hey, we just gotta wait it out

Yea VERY. I mean look at it. It could ACTUALLY be a movie. They really spent some cash on that. I mean, to spent cash like that all on a joke? Now that I think about it, I think it'll be a joke on April 1st because thats the wrong release date. I think it might actually BE a movie just coming out on another date.

the day of release has nothing to do with when the movie comes out. the fact that if it comes out in the middle of the weak means nothing. as proof, look at the release of the remake of the omen, which for promotional reasons came out on the date 6/6/06, which wwas in fact a tuesday. i remember because i was still in school that day

BY FAR one of the best April Fools jokes out there. If only cause it tricked sooooooooooooooooooo many people. Not too mention, it was actually really well done.

If IGN funded it, and had them turn it into a 90 minutes movie, i admit I'd probably watch it.

though they ARE making a legend of zelda movie, this is obviously not it. They just took random scenes from the game and different fantasy movies and photoshop'ed it to toy with the fragile minds of zelda fans. I think we all know its fake, you just want to believe it so badly. From what I know, the movie is in very early production stages so for it to have this many scene caps is pretty silly. I think they just now got a director for it, but what I'm really excited for is the prince of Persia movie. Its just too bad I don't like the guy they cast for him.

Hey Munky, who did they choose for the Prince? I read somewhere that it was Orlando Bloom, but i'm not sure if that was ever confirmed.

Thats actually perfect, when you think about it. Orlando looks like him more than anyone else.
