lol. I was going more on how would the world react to a cure for aids, but that works too. we could try chasity belts, but the suicide rate would only go up. and just speaking of the fact if its curable or not, its hard to believe they don't have a cure for damn disease when magic johnson has been living with AIDS for like 12yrs now. its like what the crap man? aren't you suppose be dead by now? seems like everytime you see him he's getting healthier.
as for my original thoughts for this topic, I really dont know if we deserve a cure for AIDS. sure, the obvious look on this is that it would save alot of peoples lives and end alot of suffering. yes. but...the backlash on this could be even worse than what we have now. people would go crazy. I'm not saying that everyone in the world are a bunch of hormonal idiots who lack good morals, their are alot of intelligent, rational people out there ( barack obama for instance

). but theirs a HUGE group of people who shall I say...aren't the swiftest deer in the forest. anyone who's been to highschool knows what I'm talking about.
a big portion of people will see a cure for AIDS as the end of the condom. sense the fear of transmitting STD's are gone people will see condoms as obsolete. you would think that whole "unplanned pregnancy" thing would be enough to wrap it up, but noo, the main reason why most people where condoms is to save their life, not the thought of creating one. society would get out of control, increased birth rates...unplanned birth rates and thats not fair to bring a child into an environment where his/her parents don't actually love each other but more of just staying together for the baby. that is saying if the father actually stays.
IDK...I would like to put my trust into an ideal world where everyone would handle a cure for AIDS with rational thinking and greatfulness in a peace loving society. but we all know thats not what we live in....its a very tricky subject. I guess untill we all figure it out the only people who'll be cured from AIDS are big famous millionaire basketball players who are above the law.
